NON-PROFIT ASSOCIATION MERIMETSA SUPPORT CENTRE
The non-profit association, Merimetsa Support Centre, was founded in
1997 on the basis of the liquidated state enterprise, Tallinn Therapy
Enterprise (Tallinna Ravitootla). The target group of the Support
Centre is adults who have special needs due to severe and/or permanent
mental disorders.
The Merimetsa Support Centre offers its clients two of the nine services of state care for people with special mental needs:
· the service of support in work;
· the service of support in daily life.
We are providing the service to 142 people in 2002 who have lost 80% of
the work capacity on average. All consumers of the service have been
directed to the Support Centre by the psychiatric hospital doctors or
by a rehabilitation institution.
